[...] I’ve been to many a bullfight (or “corrida de toro”) when I was living in Madrid, but I never took my camera to one. With hindsight, a big mistake since I would have loved to capture Jose Tomás first steps in front of the world’s most difficult crowd, and his triumphant exit carried over their shoulder through the main gate, an extremely rare occurrence in Las Ventas. Oh well, you can’t win’em all I guess. So this time, when we came back for a long weekend, I took my 70-200 zoom out, and was ready to fill in a few memory cards. It didn’t turn out to be the best bullfight ever, far from it, but I still managed to capture a few fun shots like this one. [...]

[...] The wine cellar below the Château de Beaune in Burgundy, now home to the Domaine Bouchard headquarters, is a fabulous place, with bottles dating back to 1846 in the section they affectionately refer to as “The Museum”. Time seems to have stopped there, while the neatly stacked bottles await for their tasting fate. You can read more about the story of the cave there or have a look at my original picture.
[...] Going to the Grand Canyon was one of the best things I did during my two and a half months holidays between jobs last year. Even if it clearly proved without a doubt that I was out of shape. Nothing like a long hike up from the bottom in the scorching heat for that. Although stopping to catch my breath did enable me to take that fantastic picture with the clouds shadows playing on the relief. Colour version here. [...]
